The infant son and namesake of his father, Henry C. Henkenmeyer, was honored with funeral services 4 March 1923 at the family residence, 1421 South Eighth street, in Quincy Illinois.
The Reverend Robert Van Meigs presided, and there were two singers to soothe the mourners: Mrs. Margaret Petit and Miss Dora Michelmann lent their beautiful voices.
After the 2:30 p.m. services, pallbearers Clifford and Raymond Blackie, and Donald Dix, carried the tiny coffin to its last earthly resting place, in Greenmount cemetery.
