Brinkmann, Orville C. Passed away Monday March 28, 2016. Beloved husband of Jan Brinkmann and the late Laverne Brinkmann. Dear father of Darryl (Robin) Brinkmann, Cheryl (Kevin) Johnson & Michelle (Keith) Lott. Loving grandfather of Eric, Scott & Molly Brinkmann, Emily Stott, Katie Hearn, Andrew Lott & Kristy Merritt; Great grandfather of Rebekah & Emily Merritt, Mallory Hearn and Connor Brinkmann. He was born April 19, 1930 and served in the US Navy during the Korean War. He received his degrees in Education from the University of Missouri and Washington University. He taught at the Lindbergh School District until his retirement in 1987. He shared his love of sports with his family and was a lifelong fan of the Cardinals and local softball teams. He was a member of the American Legion in Columbia, IL. Services: Funeral 1:00pm Friday at St. Lucas UCC (11735 Denny Road). Service concludes at church. Interment private. VISITATION THURSDAY 5pm to 7pm at JOHN L. ZIEGENHEIN & SONS (7027 Gravois Ave) and at church Friday from Noon until time of service. If desired, memorials to the American Cancer Society.
