J. Ronald Huss Sr., 78, of Sutersville, died Monday, April 4, 2016. He was born May 31, 1937, in Sewickley Township, a son of the late William and Anna (Chopp) Huss. Ron was a member of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, Elizabeth Township. Prior to retirement, he was a self-employed general contractor. Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Janet (Mauk) Huss; three children, Rhonda Raczkowski and husband, Michael, J. Ronald Huss Jr. and wife, Francine, and Rachelle Bielstein and husband, Mark; seven grandchildren, Gina and Matthew Huss, Breanna and Jonathan Bielstein, Danielle Raczkowski, Ashley Hummel and Michael J. Raczkowski; six great-grandchildren, Alyssa Hummel, Brayden Runk, Garrett Hummel, Adelina Runk, Vander Raczkowski and Ty Hummel; two sisters, Marie Huss and Barbara Puckey and husband, William; three brothers, George Huss and wife, Charlene, Howard Huss and wife, Dorothy, and Carl Huss and wife, Roxanne; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, William Huss Jr., Henry Huss, Edward Huss and John Huss.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the J. WILLIAM MCCAULEY JR. FUNERAL HOME INC., 901 Vine St., West Newton. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, Elizabeth Township. Interment will follow in West Newton Cemetery. The family would like to thank Dr. Kucera and Dr. Adisey, and Ron's hospice caregivers, Lindsay and Jackie.
