Nick Ryan age 82 of Grinnell, Iowa died on Friday at the University Hospitals in Iowa City.
David Nicholas Ryan was the son of Joseph and Marie Stack Ryan. He graduated in 1951 from Missouri Valley High School. He later attended Grinnell College and graduated in 1955.
He was the father of Meghan, Lisa,David and Julia.
In August of 1955 he entered the US Navy Air Corp. He worked at Grinnell College from 1959 – 1978 and from 1978 to 1990 at the University of Iowa.
