He grew up and received his education in Rapid City, having lived briefly in Wall, Vivian and Chamberlain, South Dakota
Bobby proudly served his country, joining the U.S. Navy in 1965. He served on the USS Camden AOE 2 during the Vietnam War.
He was honorably discharged at rank of BM2 E in November of 1969.
He married twice, but single life suited him more.
He is survived by:

Grandsons: Jeffery and Justin
Great granddaughter: Layla Joy
Brothers: Victor (Judy)Brand, Verdell(Cindy Degen)Brand and Harlan (Roxy Jurrens) Brand
