Mrs. Clara E. Deivert, 71, a resident of St. Joseph for the past 40 years, died at 9 a.m. Monday in the Berrien county hospital at Berrien Center after an illness of eight years.
Born April 4, 1877*, in Bridgewater, Ohio, she is survived by her husband, Homer, and the following brothers and sisters, Irvin and Ernest Whitney of Mount Pilliar, Ohio, Mrs. Nora Hogue of Coldwater, Ralph Whitney of Jackson and Bertha Warnicke of Kalamazoo.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Kerlikowske chapel by the Rev. R. Amundsen of Benton Harbor. Burial will be in Riverview cemetery.
