Lakeview Memorial Park, with military honors. Lyn was employed by Sasser Companies in Whitsett, NC. Sasser was his second home where he loved and was loved by all his Sasser family. The last years of his life at Sasser were his happiest work years of his life. Lyn loved and is loved by his wife Sue Oakes of 39 years; sons Phillip Oakes (Casey) and Jeff Oakes (Kary); grandchildren Tabitha, Brittany, Dustin, Katelyn, Shane, Gavin, Cheyenne, and David; great grandchild Hunter; sister Kay Oakes; brother Ray Oakes.The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00-1:00pm at the church.George Brothers Funeral Service is assisting the Oakes family.
