Two Hill District Boys are Injured
Blow Torch Explodes, Burning Youngsters Seriously
Two Hill District boys were burned, one seriously, last night when a home-made gasoline blow torch exploded.
Louis Perrotti, 13, of 546 Morgan Street is in serious condition at Passavant Hospital where Samuel Jones, 15, Negro, 555 Morgan street, was treated for burns on the left leg.
Police reported that Louis and Samuel were filling the blow torch with gasoline in the rear of the Jones home when the explosion occurred. The boys had planned to burn the paint from a bicycle.

A boy who had seen workmen remove paint from autos with torches died yesterday because he tried a similar experiment on a bicycle.
The old wheel had begun to look scrubby So Louis Perrotti its 13 year-old owner decided to try a new coat of paint. But first the old paint should have been scraped off.
Louis and a pal obtained a gasoline blow torch and set to work work in a field near the Perrotti home., 546 Morgan Street.
That was a week ago. The job was hardly started before the torch operated by inexperienced hands exploded Louis was severely burned.
He died yesterday in Passavant Hospital.
