Bonnie June Hendren, age 84, of Verona, KY departed from this life on Friday, December 27, 2019 at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence, KY. Bonnie entered this life on Saturday, June 1, 1935 to parents, H.F Baker and Lizzie Sutton Baker. She was joined in marriage to Charles W. Hendren on November 30, 1952.
Bonnie was a graduate of Gallatin Co. High School, a lifelong member of South Fork Christian Church and a member of the Tuesday Morning Homemakers. She was a stay-at-home wife, mother and farmer. Her varied interests ranged from sewing and reading to raising flowers and traveling. For several years she enjoyed being an election poll worker and a volunteer in the antiques division within the county fair.
She is survived by three sons, Jerry Hendren of Verona, Gary Hendren of Florence, and Larry Hendren of Hebron, one daughter, Sherry Hendren of Sparta and three grandchildren. Preceding her in death are her husband, parents, one brother, Robert Baker and one sister, Sally Hicks.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm Thursday, January 2, 2020 at the Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home, Verona, KY followed by burial at the Paints Lick Baptist Church Cemetery.
