Irene Sims, 77 of Newbern, Tennessee died on Sunday, April 10, 2016, at Tennova Healthcare-Martin in Martin,Tennessee.
Born Friday, November 25, 1938, in Trimble, Tennessee. She was the daughter of the late John Cother Wright and the late Dollie Ethel Brewer Wright.
She was a member of Trimble Assembly of God Church in Trimble, Tennessee.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Wednesday, April 13, 2016, in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Rev. Perry Grills and Bro. James Roberts. Interment will follow in Yorkville Cemetery in Yorkville,Tennessee. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 12, 2016, from 5:30 PM until 8:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
She is survived by one son, Keith Sims (Dolly) of Newbern, Tennessee and a son by choice George Allen Palmertree (Kay) of Hickman, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Brad Palmertree of Nashville, Tennessee and April Walters of Milan, Tennessee; and several sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews.
In additon to her parents she is predeceased in death by her husband, George E. Sims and two brothers, Reuben Carlos Wright and Owen A. Wright.
Pallbearers will be Tom Davis, Glen Davis, Jeff Austin, John Gregory, Richard Flatt and Scott Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be Carnell Allen and Bud Travis.
