MOULTRIE - Hazel Virginia Haynes Folsom, 87, of Moultrie, died Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, April 10, 2016 at First Assembly of God with the Rev. Winston Baker officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery.
Casketbearers and honorary casketbearers will be Brad Brock, Jeremy Brock, Michael Owens, Marty Croft, Brock Croft, Jason Croft, Dillon Smith, Chason Smith, Hunter Davis, Adam Williams, Austin Owens Preston Owens, Bryce Croft, Ethan Croft and Sunny Dixon.
Born May 6, 1928 in Thomaston, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Robert A. Haynes and Dasie Brooks Hall Whittington. She was a retired cotton weaver from Moultrie Cotton Mills and was a charter member of First Assembly of God.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Preston Folsom; a son, James Preston Folsom, Jr.; a grandson, Chad Williams; a brother, Charles Haynes; step-father, Sylvester Whittington.
Survivors include six children, Raybun Folsom and Joan of Camilla, GA., Darlene Walters and Charles of Albany, GA., Chiquita Croft and Gene of Delhi, LA., Joanie Wood and Ansel of Funston, GA., Cindy Williams of Doerun, GA. and Kennon Folsom and Ginger of Albany, GA.; fourteen grandchildren, Aleisha Davis, Rayvun Jarrell, Mandy Jones, Brad Brock, Jeremy Brock, Amy Williams, Marty Croft, Brock Croft, Jason Croft, Michael Owens, Misty Vance, Samantha Cullum, Monica Williams and Adam Williams; twenty-four great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren, Cindy Croley and Ferrell Croft.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM- 8:00 PM Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
