Carl Edward Halliburton was born on September 28, 1953 in Millington, Tennessee to Ludy Benton and Dorothy Jean Halliburton.

Carl devoted his life to Christ at an early age, and later during his illness became an avid watcher of Shepherd’s Chapel.

He attended Millington Central High School and from there joined the Army for a brief period of time. Upon returning to Millington, Carl worked various occupations until his health failed.
His love for the Dallas Cowboys was evident in his attire of the football jersey and cap he always sported. He was moved to great laughter while out to dinner with his Uncle Bunny, a Redskins fan, when a customer made the comment, “A house divided cannot stand.” They were both wearing their favorite jerseys.

Carl transitioned from this life on January 7, 2016 to join his Lord and awaiting family. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Jean Halliburton Miles and stepfather, Jewel Miles, Sr. His memory will forever be cherished by longtime companion, Faye Cara; brothers, Jewel Miles, Jr., Lawrence Miles, Sherman Miles and Tony Miles of Millington, and one sister Kawanas Miles of Millington; one niece and nephew and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 - 11:00 A.M. on Monday, January 18, 2016 at Serenity Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 18, 2016 at Serenity Funeral Home.
