Paul E. Daugherty, age 87, of Greenfield, passed away on Monday, April 11, 2016.
He was born on March 7, 1929 in Highland County, the son of Mitchell and Frances (Wilburn) Daugherty.
He was owner/operator of Daugherty’s Collection for many years and prior to this was employed at the Thrifty Coal Company of Greenfield, Blue Rock Stone Quarry of Greenfield and was a farmer. He was a former little league coach and enjoyed raising his chickens.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred M. (Cherryholmes) Daugherty of 65 years; four sons, John R. Brown of Greenfield, Lawrence (Peggy) Daugherty of Bainbridge, Jerry (Linda) Daugherty, and Darren (Erica) Daugherty both of Hillsboro; four daughters, Karen (Bob) Hatfield, Linda (Charlie) Crothers both of Greenfield, Debbie Medley of Washington C.H., and Margo Daugherty of Greenfield; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; one aunt, Anna pine of Washington C.H.; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one grandson, Justin Daugherty; two brothers, Raymond and Richard Daugherty; three sisters, Marybelle Downing, Barbara Fite, Wilda May and both parents.
Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 19 at the Murray-Fetttro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Rev. Wayne Combs officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenfield Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 11:00 A.M. until time of the service at the funeral home.
