Nelle Jackson Smith passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2016.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 16, 2016, at Monroe Memorial Gardens. Rev. Raymond Steinkamp will officiate. The family will greet friends the day of the service from 9:30 a.m., until service time at Monroe County Memorial Chapel.
Mrs. Smith, the daughter of the late Gus Jackson and Annie Mae Parham Jackson was born November 10, 1923, in Forsyth, Georgia. Her husband, Kenny Cecil Smith preceded her in death. She retired from William Carter Company, as a supervisor, after forty-five years of service.
Survivors include her son, Cecil “Smitty” Smith of London, Kentucky, nieces, Miriam Corbin of Forsyth and Judy Geib of Forsyth; grandchildren, Shane Smith, Keith Smith and Dana and Stephen Aicher; great grandchildren, Chelsea and Greg Lazenby, CJ, Jace and Casey Smith: great great grandchildren, Rylea and Ryder Lazenby.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Woodmen of the World Lodge #369, 655 Russellville Road, Forsyth, GA 31029.
Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
