Esther (Casey) Allen went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 10th, 2016 after fighting a valiant battle with cancer. She was born on June 2, 1949. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Elsie Allen; her grandparents Wesley and Sophie Gillett; and her special aunt, Jenny Goloko. She is survived by her siblings, Joan Ewert, Wayne & Kathy Allen, Wesley & Claudine Allen, and Joseph & Cheri Allen. She is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews; special friends, Peggy and Norman Semmler and her beloved cat, Mr. Bigg. Esther thoroughly enjoyed 26 years of working at Danny's Diner. She made many friends, was the ultimate at multi-tasking and made everyone feel welcome. She loved life, had an infectious laugh, always enjoyed a spirited game of Yahtzee, always saved room for dessert and was always ready to help. She retired after 10 years with Security Mutual Life where she enjoyed working with the Records Management team. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 15, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Fischer-Scholder Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Chenango Street with Rev. Wayne Hokanson officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Forest Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, April 14, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mercy House, 212 McKinley Avenue, Endicott, NY 13760.
