Courtesy of the 2 Aug 1896 edition of The Times-Demcrat (New Orleans, LA):

"Death has again darkened the house of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Moody. Baby Ada, who had been slightly ill for some time, became suddenly worse, and before her fond parents could realize her condition, the pure soul of their beloved child had gone to meet the three little sisters who await her in the garden of Paradise. The funeral took place from the Sycamore Church. Rev. Mr. Prosser read the service of the church and spoke a few words of loving regret in his kind and sympathetic way to the sorrowing parents. After the service the beautiful casket that contained all that was mortal of little Ada was borne to the family lot by Misses Nellie Price, Anna Bourgeoise, Emma and Grace Picou, where they were laid to rest by the side of her three sisters. To the bereaved family and friends is rendered sincerest sympathy in their sorrow."

The Gibson Methodist Episcopal Church was referred to as the "Sycamore Church" because of the numerous sycamores in its yard. Reverend Mr. Prosser was Mr. Ralph Hylton Prosser, who served as Rector of St. Matthews Episcopal Church, Houma (LA) from 1888 to 1898.
