Margie Iris Sturgill Harned passed from this Earth April 13, 2016 at her home. She was 76. She was a resident of Elizabethtown and formerly of Lebanon Junction and Boston, Kentucky. She was a graduate of Lebanon Junction High School, was retired from Dow Corning with 28 years of service and was a member of Severns Valley Baptist Church. She was the daughter of Charles and Mary Louanna Fields Sturgill. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Charles Jr., Raymond, Walter and Alfred Sturgill and sisters, Dorothy Myers and Evelyn Vincent. Her survivors include daughters, Marie Harned of Boston, Gail (Lowell) Floyd of Miami, FL; granddaughter, Shelby Floyd of Lexington, brother, Thomas (Sadalia) Sturgill of Lebanon Junction;sisters, Shirley (Robert) Payton and Judy (Homer) Carter of Elizabethtown and Millie Smith of Bardstown and numerous nieces and nephews. Margie was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Her presense will be greatly missed by many. Funeral services will be 2PM Saturday at the First Baptist Church of Lebanon Junction with Bro. Jason McCray and Bro. Billy Curle officiating. Burial will follow in Lebanon Junction City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 Friday at Kappel Funeral Home in Lebanon Junction and after 12noon Saturday at the church. Kappel Funeral Home in Lebanon Junction is in charge of the arrangements.
