Rosemary Acs, 78, Volunteer for Lorain Emergency Police, and enjoyed traveling

Rosemary Acs, (nee Kastl), age 78, of Lorain, died Friday, February 28, 2003 at Community Health Partners Hospital West, Lorain, following a lengthy illness. Born August 30, 1924 in Lorain, she has lived here her entire life.
She worked as a pipe fitter helper at Lorain Works US Steel during World War II. Following that she worked for Steel Stamping and then in security for many years at local area department stores.

She was a life member of the Polish American Citizens Club, and a life member of the Czechoslovak Society of America Lodge of Apollo No. 218. Rosemary was also a volunteer for the Lorain Emergency Police, where she had served as captain for many years. She enjoyed traveling.

Surviving her is her husband of 52 years, Frank P. Acs, daughter, Barbara Acs, of Lorain, a brother Leo J. Kastl, and a sister Evelyn Sauer, of Amherst. She was preceded in death by her brother, Emil Kastl, parents, Joseph and Barbara (nee Kastl).

The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 2, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Rev. Dr. Dale Sauer, nephew of Mrs. Acs will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
