Barbara Louise Acs, age 56, of Lorain, died on Sunday, May 23, 2010 at Fairview Hospital, following a brief illness.

She was born on June 5, 1953 in Lorain, where she has been a lifelong resident.
She was a 1971 graduate of Admiral King High School and also received her associate’s degree from Lorain Community College.
Barbara was employed at Emerson Products in the Quality Control Dept for the past 38 years.
She enjoyed playing softball, bowling, gambling trips and going to Amish Country. She also enjoyed attending the Cleveland Browns and Indians games and was a avid Ohio State fan. Barbara annually attended the Indy 500 Race with many friends and family members.
She is survived by her father, Frank P. Acs and many cousins.
Barbara was preceded in death by her mother, Rosemary (nee Kastl) Acs in 2003.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 27, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. on Friday. Rev. Mark Pemberton, pastor of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ will officiate. Burial will be held at Ridge Hill Memorial Park.
