Debra C. Schermerhorn, Pharmacist, active member of First Baptist Church of Pedricktown Debra C. Schermerhorn (nee Drabold), 54, of Pedricktown, N.J., passed away on April 4, 2016. Born in Woodbury, N.J., Deb was the daughter of Thurman and Frances Jones Drabold. Her daughter, Erin; father, Thurman Sr.; five siblings, Dorothy M. Bartko (Mike), Thurman Jr., Marjorie R. Drabold, Karen S. Drabold, and Pamela J. Cincotti (Joseph Fink), as well as many more family members and friends survive her. Her mother, Frances, predeceased her. Deb graduated from Penns Grove High School in 1980 and went on to receive a degree in pharmacy from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science. After graduation, she would continue to work as a pharmacist up until 2010. Deb was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Pedricktown, where she had served as a deacon, taught classes in Junior Church, as well as in Sunday school. Time permitting, she loved to travel, go shopping, tend to her yard and go catch a movie with her sister, Marge. Deb also enjoyed baking and watching various sports. She was also a member of the Women's Club in Penns Grove, N.J., and Carneys Point, N.J. A time to gather and celebrate her life will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at the Adams Funeral Home, 18 E. Maple Ave., Penns Grove, N.J. 08069. The family will be available starting at 9:30 a.m. to greet anyone who wishes to stop by and pay their respects with the service following at 11 a.m. Interment is private and at the convenience of the family. The family has suggested that donations can be made to the Salem County Humane Society, P.O. Box 214, Carney's Point, N.J. 08069 or the American Diabetes Association , P.O.
