Gertrude's birth mother is Appolonia "Paulina" nee' YEAGER (1846 - 1887). Appolonia YEAGER and Vincent BIENIEK were married 1877 in Poland. According to my records Appolonia died 1887 in Holding Township. Her burial site has not been found.

Note from "Methuria" (contributor # 47072032) dated September 10, 2017: " . . . Gertrude along with her mother Paulina and sisters Elisabeth and Catharina arrived in New York Harbor Oct 2, 1882 on the Ship 'Anchoria'. Vincent was not with them, so he must've arrived earlier."

Gertrude BIENIEK and Alex OPATZ were married on July 15, 1895 at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Opole, Stearns County, Minnesota.
