A A Bennett Paige, 92, Retired Builder, Dies
A last rite for A. A Bennett Paige, 92, a retired building contractor, who died Tuesday (May 24, 1955), will be held at 2 pm, tomorrow in the J. Boyd Winchell Funeral Home, 596 Genesee St.
Mr. Paige, who made his home Brandon Fla., the last four years, came to Rochester last Sunday to visit his daughter, Mrs. Mabel Beech of 447 Caulkins Rd.
In his 40 years as a contractor, Mr. Paige built many homes in Paige Street, Marsh Street, Brooks Avenue and Barton Street.
Paige Street was named after him, Brooks Avenue was named for his wife, Fannie Brooks Paige, and Marsh Street bears the name of his mother (-in-law), Harriet Marsh Paige (sic/Brooks).
Mr. Paige was born in Rochester and lived in Fitzhugh Street many years. At the time of his retirement 20 years ago he was living in Mendon. His wife died 21 years ago.
Besides Mrs. Beach, Mr. Paige leaves another daughter, Mrs. Calvin Hunt of Rochester; four sons, Garnier, Marsh B. and Laurence M. Paige, all of Rochester, and Leander M. Paige of Miami, Fla.; 17 grandchildren end 22 great-grandchildren. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Cemetery records state he was buried May 27, 1955, having died at age 92y, 5m, 21 of Arterio Sclerosis at Strong Hospital.
