Michael G. Brewner, 69, of Du Quoin, passed away at 11:30 A.M., Sunday, April 10, 2016 at the Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin.
Michael had been a custodian for the Du Quoin Middle School for twenty-six years. He was a member of the Old Du Quoin Baptist Church in Du Quoin. He had served as a deacon and a Sunday School teacher for over twenty years. He enjoyed watching his granddaughter play softball.

He was a United States Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. Serving abroad the aircraft carrier USS Ticonderoga (CV/CVA/CUS 14).

He was born March 1, 1947 at Du Quoin, IL, the son of William H. Brewner and Virginia (Eubanks). He married Nancy Magerkurth on July 13, 1974 at Pinckneyville, IL, and she survives.

He is survived by his wife of Du Quoin, one daughter-Dusty Mansfield and husband Richard of Du Quoin, two grandchildren- Trystin Mansfield and Timbra Mansfield, both of Du Quoin, and one brother- James Brewner and wife Linda of Neosho, MO.

He was preceded in death by his parents- William H. Brewner and Virginia Commean.

Memorial services will be at 6 P.M., Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at the Old Du Quoin Baptist Church in Du Quoin with Rev. Ted Clark officiating. Friends may call from 4 P.M. until the time of service on Wednesday. Friends may make memorials to the family and will be accepted at the funeral home.
