She was born Jan. 4, 1927, in Sharpsburg, Md., to the late Lewis Gardindar and Maude Gladys Benner Giffin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Franklin Durboraw, on March 16, 1980.
Armatha was employed by Mack Trucks, Hagerstown, until her retirement.
She was a member of Victory Baptist Church, Boonsboro, Md.
She is survived by her daughters, Wanda L. Burkett, Wilma J. Hammond, Wanita F. Durboraw and Wendy P. Staley, all of Hagerstown; son, Wayne F. Durboraw and his wife, Brenda, of New Bern, N.C.; sister, Elaine E. Swope of Fairplay; a very special friend, April Duran; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by four sisters, Pauline Norris, Dorothy Durboraw, Hilda Breeden and Ruth Stahl.

A memorial service will be held at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport, Md. on Monday, April 18, 2016, at 6 p.m., with Pastor Edward J. Wade officiating.
The family will receive friends immediately after the service until 8 p.m.
The funeral home will be open after 9 a.m. on Monday for the convenience of family and friends.
