David L Getman Sr., 75, of 907 Euclid Ave. died of a heart attack Thursday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Services will be at 10 AM on Monday at All Saints Catholic Church, of which he was a member. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery.

Mr. Getman was born in West Newton, Mass., and moved to Des Moines in 1950. He was a retired mailer at Meredith Corp. and a Marine Corps veteran of World War II. He was a member of Highland Park American Legion, Military Order of the Purple Heart, Forty and Eight Club, Disabled American Veterans and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; two sons, Dave Jr. of Des Moines and Jerry of Puyallup, Wash.; two daughters, Cathleen Kallmeyer of Seattle and Maureen Wurst of Telford, Pa.; and 10 grandchildren.

Friends may call after 1 PM on Sunday at Highland Park Funeral Home, where the family will be present after 5 PM and where a rosary service will be held at 6 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to All Saints Building Fund.
