Jimmy was the Son of James Curtis Jones and Leta May Hamby Jones, and their second child.
He was the Grandchild of John Thomas and Lusinda Jones. And William Virgil and Clara Hamby.
He was a Brother to Leland and Melissa.
Jimmy Graduated from Placer High School, Auburn, Placer County, California in June of 1954. His first serious career was as a seasonal firefighter for the State of California Department of Forestry. He worked for one season and very much enjoyed his job and being out-of-doors. He had several very interesting experiences. Many times he told of the wildlife he saw as they were cutting hand-lines around a fire in the Auburn and Placer County area. Sadly Uncle Jimmy started to have health problems shortly after this summer and was never able to return to this line of work again.
Uncle Jimmy passed away in Rosewood Terrace Convalescent Hospital in his sleep at 6:15 A.M. on June 7, 1997 from natural causes after a long slow decline in health.
