ANTHONY ABELE DIES AT AGE 74
Anthony J. Abele, 74, owner and operator of the Abele Floor Covering Company here since 1928, died at his home at 1572 Dixie Street yesterday morning.
Although he had been in ill health for three years, he remained active until Saturday.
Born in Ironton, Ohio, son of the late Anthony and Katherine Abele, he came to Charleston in 1916.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Julia Kady Abele; one daughter, Mrs. J. C. Malone of St. Albans, and three grandchildren.
Requiem high mass with Fr. Boniface Weckman as celebrant will be offered at 9 a.m. tomorrow at Sacred Heart Church, of which he was a member. Rosary will be said at 8 tonight at Simpson mortuary chapel.
