Bobby Davis
Bobby Roy Davis, 67, died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2002, at his home after a sudden illness. He was born Nov. 9, 1934, to the late Roy and Christine Davis. He retired in 1996 from Senter Transit Mix after many years. He was a graduate of Tupelo High School and a member of East Heights Baptist Church.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Bro. Phil Davis officiating. Burial will be in Priceville Cemetery.
Survivors include three sons, Andy Davis and his wife, Mitzi, of Tupelo, Bro. Phil Davis and his wife, Joan, of Dunn, N.C., and Jonny Davis and his wife, Sherry, of Tupelo; five grandchildren, Jennifer Davis of Dunn, N.C., and Scott Davis, Jonathon Davis, Tori Davis and Benjamin Davis, all of Tupelo.
Pallbearers will be John Edwards, Bo Young, J.D. Moore, Tommy Estes, Paul Poland and Wes Westbrook.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Reginal Moore Sunday School Class, Marion Helms and the employees of Davis Quality Builders.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
