Mr. Albano Manuel Da Ponte passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 13, 2016. He was 50 years old and was born in Urzelina, São Jorge, Azores, to Albano and Maria Da Ponte of Turlock. He worked as a Sales Manager at Hilmar Lumber for 33 years.
Mr. Da Ponte is survived by his Parents Albano D. Da Ponte and Maria A. Silva, of Turlock. Companion Laurie Grace of Hilmar, (They were together for 15 years), Stepson Ty Grace of Hilmar, and Stepdaughter Jessi Grace of Florida. Brothers – John Da Ponte of Ripon, and Louie Da Ponte of Crows landing. Sisters – Marie J. Silva and husband Frank of Hilmar, Isabel Amirfar and husband Nino of Turlock, Arlet De Couto and husband Marcel of Turlock, Maria Renner and husband Richard of Meza Az, and Gracie Ponte-Kisner and husband Dale also of Turlock. Albano had many aunts and uncles, nephews and nieces, and several cousins.
Albano, loved the outdoors, hiking and going up to Lake Tahoe, football games with Oakland A's, and Raiders, play cards and, the best of all spend quality time with his family.
