Robertson, Veola – age 97 of Mt Juliet, TN. Veola passed away April 20, 2016. She is survived by children, Nolene (Ralph) Campbell, Desiree (Bobby) Whitlock, and Donna Nolen; grandchildren, Chuck (Jackie) Campbell, Robb (Susanne) Whitlock, Scott (Vicki) Whitlock, and Josh Robertson; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Joyce Akers Warren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Saturday at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet with Ralph Campbell officiating. Interment will follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be Friday 4:00 – 8:00 & Saturday 10:00 – 11:00 at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet. Family serving as pallbearers. My Grandmother.Born in Centertown, TN in 1918. Graduated from Chattanooga City High School, early, in 1935 at the age of 17. As a teenager, worked at the Standard Coosa-Thatcher textile plant in Chattanooga during the "Great Depression". Married to Arthur N. Robertson for over 40 years. Raised 3 daughters. Member of FBCMJ for over 65 years. Former Secretary at West Elementary in Mt. Juliet, TN for 21 years. Wilson County Schools Employee for 26 Years. Mt. Juliet resident and "Pillar of the Community" for over 65 years. Helped raise a Grandson named Josh. Was a master seamstress and loved to crochet. While living at her last home, Carrick Glen, she crocheted over 100 baby blankets in 1 year at the age of 96. Her key to long life was walking just about every day, working crossword puzzles and having a happy disposition doing whatever she liked. Rest in Peace Grandmom. -Josh
