Emilio was a gorgeous Chow Chow belonging to my sister's family. Her son Josh was born while Emilio was still a puppy so they were growing up together. My brother-in-law was in the Air Force, and after he got transferred to Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, he had to get rid of Emilio, either because of neighbors or having such a large dog was against the rules, I'm not really sure. My sister never heard that Chows had a reputation for being vicious until after they got him, but he was as gentle as could be. He even let himself be bullied by their little black cat, Ramon. It was quite a sight to see this huge bundle of fur that looked like a lion being chased around a tree by a cat a tenth his size. Emilio was such a good boy and very affectionate. Hugging him was like holding a giant teddy bear. He was given to a lady with a farm who renamed him King and spoiled him rotten, as it should be. He was given his own plate at the table and allowed to eat with the rest of the family. I would have loved to have seen that!
