HINTON - CLARENCE L. WARD, 83, of Hinton, died May 21, 1994, at Summers County Hospital after a long illness.
He was a lifelong resident of Summers County and a member of Church of Christ, Hinton.
Surviving: wife, Macil Ward; sons, Harry of Middletown, Ohio, Curley Joe of Hickory, N.C., Douglas of Lincolnton, N.C., Timmy at home; daughters, Mary Sue Frazier of Hinton, Jewel Copen of Cleveland, Ohio, Drema Cox of Franklin, Ohio, Phyllis Gilliam of Beckley, Connie Cox and Diane Lilly, both of Ellison; brothers, Jess of North Carolina, Ed of Hix, Julian of Oak Hill; sisters, Sadie Cales of Hinton, Fannie Holland of Cleveland, Ohio, Lottie Norman of Fairbanks, Va.; 25 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren.
Service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ronald Meadows Funeral Home, Hinton, with Pastor Eddie Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Cales Cemetery, Hix. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
