Mr. Bicknell died Monday at a Topeka hospital. He was born Dec. 9, 1915, in Chillicothe, Mo., and spent most of his life in Topeka.
He had owned and operated Bicknell Trucking until 1966. Until his death, he operated Bicknell Excavating.
He served in the Civilian Conservation Corps before World War II and had helped build Lone Star Lake in Douglas County.
He married Katherine Johnson on Dec. 12, 1936, in Lawrence. She survives. .
