Barbara S. Barnhisel, age 74, of Cygnet, Ohio passed away February 26, 2016 at the Bowling Green Hospice Care Center. She was born November 4, 1941 in McComb, Ohio to the late Jacob & Dorthea (Reynolds) Funk. Barb married Dean Barnhisel August 15, 1959 at the Hoytville United Methodist Church. Surviving Barb is her husband, Dean, sons, Scott (Dawn) Barnhisel of Custar, Michael (Becky) Barnhisel, Tim (Dianna) Barnhisel both of Cygnet, daughter, Jill Barnhisel of Cygnet, sister, Helen (Carl) George of Custar, grandchildren, Josh (Stephanie) Barnhisel, Jordan (Kara) Barnhisel, Jared James, Alex James, Cory Barnhisel, Chelsea Barnhisel, Elizabeth (Keith) Vehrs, Jackie (Keith) Doyle, Phillip Palmer, Danielle (Frank) Martinez, Taylor Barnhisel, Trey Barnhisel, 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob & Dorthea. Barb graduated from Hoytville High School in 1959, and graduated from the Academy of Beauty in Toledo. She worked as a beautician, and in retail, retiring from Kroger's. Barb was a member of the former Bloom Center Church of God and the Farm Bureau. Visitation will be held from 2pm-4pm & 6pm-8pm, March 1, 2016 at Barndt Funeral Home in Wayne, Ohio. Additional visitation will be held March 2, 2016 from 10am-11am at the Mt. Zion United Brethren Church 7481 Bays Rd Wayne, Ohio 43466, where a Celebration of Life Service will begin at 11am with Pastor Jon Reynolds, and Pastor Mark E. Ralph officiating. Burial will be at Weaver Cemetery in Bloom Township, followed by a bereavement luncheon back at Mt. Zion U.B. Church. Memorial donations may be made to Bridge Hospice or the Cherry Street Mission in Toledo, Ohio.
