Charles E. Braun Sr., 80, of York Township, died at 12:20 p.m. Monday at Rest Haven-York. He was the husband of Margaret (Deisinger) Braun and of the late Catherine (Ness) Braun.

The service will be 10 a.m. Friday at the Baumeister, Orcutt and Small Mortuaries Inc., South Queen and East Jackson streets, York. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery. Viewing will be 9 to 10 a.m. Friday at the mortuary.

Mr. Braun was born March 29, 1914, in Glen Rock. He was the son of the late William H. and Alice (Luckenbaugh) Braun.

He was founder of Braun's Barber Shop in York. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Mr. Braun also is survived by a son, Charles E. Braun Jr. of York; a daughter, Bonnie Lee Garrett of York New Salem; a stepdaughter, Arlene Krout of Emigsville; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Francis E. Braun of Stewartstown, and Wilmer G. Braun of York; and a sister, Catherine Rohrbaugh of Hanover.

Officiating at the service will be his pastor, the Rev. John J. Wenzke. 03-13-95
