He was a member of Hosack Street Baptist Church where he attended for over 70 years. He served as the Chairman of the Deacon Board, Sunday School Teacher, Baptist Training Union (BTU) Teacher and a Circle President.
Lowell retired from the Federal Glass Company after 47 years of service.
Preceded in death by daughter, Bessie Carol; parents Aaron and Rhoda Latham; brothers Fred, Harry, Herman, Harley Sr., Hubert; sisters Hazel Leet, Wenonah Christy.
He left to mourn his legacy, devoted and loving wife of 68 years, Willie Francis Latham; children, Elizabeth (Floyd) Waddell, Minnie Finney, Clifton (Beverly) Latham, Lowell Jr. (Emily) Latham, Freda (Cahrles) Harris, George (Brenda) Latham, Carl Latham, Thomas Latham and Howard Latham; sister, Ella Marie Harper and sister-in-law, Dorothy Hill; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives.
