Deacon Lowell Christopher Latham, Sr was born June 26, 1909 in Copper Ridge, Tennessee to Aaron and Rhoda Latham. At age 91, he went home to be with his heavenly Father on Thursday, March 8, 2001 at his residence in Columbus, Ohio.

He was a member of Hosack Street Baptist Church where he attended for over 70 years. He served as the Chairman of the Deacon Board, Sunday School Teacher, Baptist Training Union (BTU) Teacher and a Circle President.

Lowell retired from the Federal Glass Company after 47 years of service.

Preceded in death by daughter, Bessie Carol; parents Aaron and Rhoda Latham; brothers Fred, Harry, Herman, Harley Sr., Hubert; sisters Hazel Leet, Wenonah Christy.

He left to mourn his legacy, devoted and loving wife of 68 years, Willie Francis Latham; children, Elizabeth (Floyd) Waddell, Minnie Finney, Clifton (Beverly) Latham, Lowell Jr. (Emily) Latham, Freda (Cahrles) Harris, George (Brenda) Latham, Carl Latham, Thomas Latham and Howard Latham; sister, Ella Marie Harper and sister-in-law, Dorothy Hill; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives.
