Born in Comeaus Hill, Yarmouth County, she was a daughter of the late David and Adeline (DeViller) Clairmont. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Melbourne and New Horizon Club. She is survived by two sons, Clarence, Yarmouth; Ronald, Melbourne; four brothers, Robert, Yarmouth; Lawrence, Comeaus Hill; Delmer, Quebec; Alfred, Elliot Lake, Ont.; five sisters, Margaret (Mrs. Paul Meuse), Yarmouth; Eunice Doucette, Lorraine Boudreau, both of Elliot Lake; Adelia Caron, Adeline Clairmont, both of Quebec; two half-sisters, Rhoda (Mrs. Samuel Cottreau), Comeaus Hill; Rose (Mrs. Zenophile Lachapelle), Quebec; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony; son, Joseph; two brothers, Freeman, Frank. The body is in Sweeny's Funeral Home, Yarmouth, visiting 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today, where prayers will be 8 p.m. tonight. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday in St. Gabriel's Roman Catholic Church, Comeaus Hill, Rev. Patrick O'Meara officiating. Burial will be in parish cemetery. Donations may be made to parish cemetery, Comeaus Hill or Melbourne Cemetery.
