Wayne “Arkie” Andrews, 88, passed away Monday, April 18, 2016.
Wayne was born on May 30, 1927 in Quitman, Arkansas to Charlie and Gladys Andrews.
He was a resident of Santa Maria since 1955. Wayne was in trucking all his life, working for Douglas Oil Co., Conoco Oil, and Peterson Trucking. During his career, he resurfaced virtually every road in California.
Wayne was a hard worker, very friendly, loving and compassionate man. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his daughters: Marsha Frampton, Cindy Andrews, and Barbara Sullenberger; sister Otilla Linn; and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Ruby and brother Gerald Andrews.
Graveside Services will be 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 6, 2016 in the original section of the Santa Maria Cemetery.
