Everett Lee Kitchen, 77 of Wayne, W.Va., passed away, Friday, April 1, 2016 in Cabell-Huntington Hospital, Huntington, W.Va. He was born October 5, 1938 in Huntington, W.Va. the son of the late, Morton and Elizabeth Sanders Kitchen. He was a 1957 graduate of Huntington East High School, retired from the U.S. Air Force, a retired Foreman with a Chicken Ranch in Colorado, and later was self employed providing home improvement.

In addition to his parents, Everett was also preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Anderson and Gloristine Light and one brother, Willie Ray Kitchen.

He is survived by two daughters, Carletta Gould and Sandra Mitchell, both of League City, TX; three sons, Charles A. Filius of Long Beach, CA, Rodger Dale Longfellow of Huntington, WV and Markis Newman of Phoenix, AZ; three sisters, Audrie Graham (Phillip), Geraldine Wilisch and Maxine Loudermilk all of Huntington, W.Va; one very special friend, Joyce Mathis of Wayne, W.Va. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

A Celebration of his life will be conducted at 12:00 PM noon on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at the Wayne Senior Center, Wayne, W.Va. where food and fellowship will be provided and side dishes or desserts are welcome. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wayne Senior Center. Henson & Kitchen Mortuary, Barboursville, W.Va. is caring for the family.
