Gladys Pauline Harmon, 98, Corydon, died Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at Kindred Transitional Care & Rehabilitation Center '97 Indian Creek in Corydon.

Born March 12, 1918, in New Amsterdam, she was the daughter of the late Roscoe and Ruth Sonner Rook.

She was a homemaker and secretary for Harmon Real Estate, a volunteer for the Harrison County Hospital Gift Shop for 20 years, a member of the Harrison County Senior Citizens and Corydon Christian Church Disciples of Christ and a past member of the Corydon Country Club.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Harmon, and a daughter, Deanna Fisher.

Survivors include two sons, Larry Harmon (Monica) of Corydon and Fred Harmon (Janet) of Sumter, S.C.; a son-in-law, Ed Fisher of Wesley Chapel, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Lori Fisher Tindall and Michael Fisher, both of Wesley Chapel, Fla., Todd Fisher (Christine) of Virginia, Angela Harmon Zoubel (George) of Chesapeake, Va., David Harmon (Maureen) of Charleston, S.C., Joseph Harmon (Casey) of Warsaw and Jack Harmon of Corydon; 14 great-grandchildren, Clay Daniels (Jen) of Fayetteville, N.C., Katie Daniels Burnett (Matt) and Grant Tindall, both of Wesley Chapel, Fla., Tyler Tindall of Monterey, Calif., Ariana and Saul Harmon, both of Warsaw, Alyssa and Alex Harmon, both of Corydon, Charlie and Tess Harmon, both of Charleston, S.C., Ruth Fisher of Washington, D.C., Ellen Fisher of Staunton, Va., and Zoe and Alison Fisher, both of Knoxville, Tenn.; and six great-great-grandchildren, Jackson, Mackenzie and Alaina Kate Burnett and Joe, Hank and Josh Daniels.

Visitation: Friday, April 29, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, April 30, after 9 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.

Funeral: Saturday, April 30, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.

The family suggests memorial gifts to the Alzheimer's Association.
