— SELINSGROVE — E. Scott Newcomer Jr., 61, of Selinsgrove, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2014, in Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
He was born Oct. 15, 1952, in Williamsport, a son of the late E. Scott Sr. and Lois (Hunter) Newcomer. On April 8, 1983, he married the former Pamela M. Benner, who survives.
Scott was a 1971 graduate of Selinsgrove High School.
He was employed as a transportation supervisor at the Selinsgrove Center, retiring after 33 years of service.
He was a life member of the Rooster’s Corner hunting club, a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6631 and a member of the American Legion.
Scott was an avid Penn State fan and enjoyed hunting, fishing, bow shooting and spending time at his cabin in Potter County.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Todd Newcomer and his fiancee, Heather Meeker, and Cassandra Francis and her husband, Erik; two grandchildren, Cameron Newcomer and Brayden Francis; five siblings and their spouses, Patricia and Edward Fields, of York, Gary Newcomer, of Selinsgrove, Linda and John Henseling, of Linglestown, Cynthia and Orval Mull, of Selinsgrove, and Wendy and Frank Carado, of Linglestown; one sister-in-law, Kathy Newcomer, of Selinsgrove; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, David, and one niece, Holiday Figdore.
