David Lee Ogden, 69, died Friday, Sept. 18, 2015, in a Yuma, Ariz., hospital following a stroke. He was born February 1, 1946, in Blair, Neb., to Helen (Conklin) and Kenneth Ogden and spent his childhood growing up in Decatur, NE, and was a 1964 graduate of Decatur High School. He was drafted into the Army in January of 1966 and served 19 months in Germany. He was honorably discharged in January of 1968. During his adult life Dave lived in Nebraska, Iowa, Colorado, California and Arizona, never meeting a stranger. He was always a good friend and neighbor, helping where he could. Dave was an avid Nascar fan and loved working on his old cars, watching movies and reading books.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and brother-in-law Timothy Hoffner.
Dave is survived by long time companion, Ann Peckham of Yuma, Ariz.; brother, Dennis (Arla) Ogden and sister, Betty Hoffner, all of Oakland, Neb.; daughters, Anjanette Korner-Schranz and Claudia Ogden of Bensheim, Germany; grandchildren, Tobias, Luca and Selena Korner; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and brother-in-law Timothy Hoffner.
