Born in Marblehead, son of the late John Henry and Lillian (Ropes) Byors, he was a lifelong resident here.
He established his business 47 years ago that expanded over the years to be one of the largest plumbing contractors on the North Shore. His company was involved in the construction of many hospitals and larger buildings in Massachusetts and Northern England.
Mr. Byors retired five years ago.
He was a member of the Master Plumbers Association and the Massachusetts Association of Sub-Contractors; also the Gerry 5, VFA, of Marblehead.
Surviving him are four sons, David B., Donald R., Paul K. and Robert W. Byors, all of Marblehead; three daughters, Miss Jeannette A. Byors, Mrs. John (Bernice) Hartnett, Mrs. Michael Theresa Riege, all of Marblehead; 13 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held in the Eustis and Cornell Funeral Home, Marblehead, Thursday at 11 a.m.
