Lester E. Brown, 93, of Mt. Gilead, Ohio died Friday, September 06, 2002 in the Morrow County Hospital ECF.
He was a lifelong Morrow County resident, born in Franklin Twp. on September 13, 1908, the son of the late Elmer and Minnie Hammond Brown. He graduated from Mt. Gilead High School in 1928. In addition to operating a family farm, Lester was a member of the Chesterville United Methodist Church and the Morrow County Farm Bureau.
He is survived by his wife Geneva M. Kunze Brown, whom he married June 11, 1938; a son Edwin (Vineta) Brown of Richwood, OH; two daughters Marilyn (Robert) Weiler of Mt. Gilead, OH and Shirley (David) Abraham of Marion, OH; 9 grandchildren Tim, Laurie, Melinda, Tina, Vincent, Beth, Machelle, Angie and Roxanne; 13 great grandchildren; and a nephew William "Tip" Turner of Mt. Gilead.
is son Warren E. Brown preceded him in death on Feb. 8, 1978. A brother Clarence, a sister Eva Turner, and niece Marian Turner also preceded him in death.
