Alan Thomas Arthur, a career Firefighter/EMT with the Seminole County Fire Department with a generous community spirit passed away January 3rd, 2015 with his family by his side. Alan was 56. Alan was born in Port Jefferson, NY on August 27th, 1958 and lived in Suffolk County, Long Island until he joined the United States Navy at the age of 20. He served his country until his honorable discharge in 1985.
Alan relocated to Florida shortly after leaving the Navy, and pursued his dream of becoming a Firefighter. He devoted himself to Seminole County as a public servant spending over 20 years with the Seminole County Fire Department – Station 34. Alan retired from the Fire Department in August of 2013.
Alan loved spending time in the Key West, Florida. Alan also had a great love for his dogs Patch and Cinder. Alan’s family and friends welcome everyone to join them for a Visitation on Thursday, January 8, 2015 from 6pm to 8pm. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Northland Church in Longwood, FL on Friday, January 9, 2015 at 10am.
