Bruce I. Rotz Jr., 77, of Carlisle, died Friday, Sept. 10, 1999 at Harrisburg Hospital.
Born June 8, 1922 in Shippensburg, he was a son of the late Bruce E. Sr. and Carrie E. Gelsinger Rotz. He was the widower of Carrie Vaughn Rotz and a companion, Faye Gordon.
Mr. Rotz was a self-employed milk hauler and also hauled grain and sawdust.
He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1299 and Moose Lodge 761, both in Carlisle; Minnequa Social Club, Shippensburg; and Shippensburg VFW.
Surviving are one daughter, Donna Deatrick, Mt. Holly Springs; one brother, Carl L. Rotz, Mechanicsburg; three sisters, Pauline Starner of Gardners, Catherine George of Mt. Holly Springs and Carrie Jumper of Carlisle; one grandson; and one great-grandson.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle, with the Rev. Fred Johnson officiating.
Burial will be in LeTort Cemetery, Middlesex Township. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
