Sydney lost his 2 year battle with cancer. He is survived by his beloved sister, Barbara Solomon and his step-sisters, Ann Gordon, Marlene Gumbiner, Sandra Korb and Elaine Ross.
Syd formerly ran the business of Barrat Transfer and Storage Company and the motto of the company - "Let Barrat Bear It"; and more recently assisted Hermine Maxwell (his ex-wife) in the running of Dreamland Travel.
Sydney was buried Tuesday, April 24th, 2012 at the Hertzl Memorial Park. He has now gone cruising.
