Hannah E. Curran Wahl - Berkeley Heights, NJ
Mrs. Hannah E. Wahl, 88, formerly of 524 E. North Ave., died Sunday in the Ore John F. Runnells Hospital for Chest Diseases in Berkeley Heights after a long illness. She was the widow of Edward J. Wahl Sr. who died in 1948.
Mrs. Wahl was born in Westfield, daughter of the late Michael and Honora Ronayne Curran.
She was a graduate of Westfield High School and the former Newark Normal School. She taught in the Union City area for many years. She was a charter member of Court Trinity 337, Catholic Daughters of America.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Kenneth M. Bowlby, and Mrs. Alexander S. Prish, both of Garwood and Mrs. Edward N. Lee of Cranford; two sons, Edward J. of Cranford and John J. of Westfield, 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held yesterday at 8:45 a.m. from the Dooley Colonial Home. A High Mass of requiem was offered in Holy Trinity Church at 9:30 a.m. Interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery, Plainfield.
