Mohrman was born April 6, 1929 in Brooklyn NY, the son of Willard & Rita Mohrman. He moved to The Villages in 2006 from Central Valley, NY. Roy joined the paratroopers as a very young man and served faithfully and proudly in the 11th Airborne in the Pacific Theatre during WW II. He was a retired Vice President of Meat Operations. He was a member of the American Legion, Worldwide Airborne, and Underage Veterans and thoroughly enjoyed swapping stories of times past.
He loved music, singing and was an excellent dancer. He particularly loved the music of the Big Band era. But most of all, he especially loved life and never lost his enthusiasm each and every day.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen, his four daughters, Rosemarie Lorenzo (NJ), Sydney Eileen Revere (ID), Nancy Morhman (NY), Kathleen Markisello (NY), and two bonus children, Scott Gillespie (NV) and Kristie Hodas (TN), nine grandchildren and six greats. Survivors also include, his brother Edward
Arthur Mohrman, (NY). He was predeceased by his son George and brothers Willard and Eugene Mohrman.
He will be forever remembered by his family and friends for his wonderful sense of fun, his smile, laughter and the pride he took in his cherished family.
He was courageous, strong and a joy to all who met him, never meeting a stranger.
