Ralph Arlen Wryn, 78, passed away at his Klamath Falls home after a lengthy illness on April 28, 2016.

Ralph was born in Klamath Falls on Sept. 20, 1937, to James and Deola (Ramsay) Wryn.

He attended Altamont Schools and graduated from Klamath Union High School.

Ralph married Bertha Biondahl in December 1947. Their marriage ended in 1970, but prior to that the couple had two children, Scott and Vicki. Ralph spent his working years as a long-haul truck driver, working for over 50 years before retiring. He drove for Johns Manville Co., Bend Portland Freight Line, Garret Freight Line and Consolidated Freight. He was one of the first ice road truckers when he worked on the Aleyeska Pipeline.


In 1986, he married Patricia Cornelius-Donaldson. Ralph lived a rich, full life, and most of all enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also had an amazing knowledge of airplanes, guns and ammunition.

Mr. Wryn is survived by his wife, Patricia Wryn of Klamath Falls; son, Scott Wryn of Ione, Ore.; daughter, Vicki Wryn of Pendleton, Ore.; step-son, Jamie Donaldson of Los Gatos, Calif.; brother, Stanley Wryn; and numerous nieces and nephews.
